The children celebrated Independence Day with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm. Students of standard 8 (Marathi medium) and standard 7(English medium) played an Independence Day quiz. The quiz was hosted by the children themselves. They thoroughly enjoyed it and the winning team was given a small token of appreciation.
Children of standard 5 and 6 (Marathi medium) colored the Indian flag and sung the song “We shall overcome”
Many other children participated in singing patriotic songs (group as well as individual) like Ae Watan, Lehrado and Teri Mitti.
Some children even spoke about the significance of Independence Day as well as our leaders.
Overall the patriotic feel was strongly felt by the children and their energy was infectious.
