Independence day was celebrated with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm by the children. They started by making the Indian flag and then went on to various performances.
The children were divided into groups and they sang “We are the world”.
A group of children from the Marathi medium sang the famous patriotic song “Teri mitti” and two of them performed a dance on “des rangeela”. A group of students also sang a Marathi song “Janmabhoomi”.
Overall there was a wave and feeling of patriotism among the children and each one of them felt a sense of pride in being an Indian citizen.
